As Vice Convener of the Economic Development committee at the council I am delighted that there is to be a new business
hub launched at Stockbridge Library.
This will be based on the already successful model that operates out of the McDonald Road library. It will offer support for
local businesses (or those wanting to start a business) through courses in marketing, finance, and business planning as well as basic advice on starting up on your own.
The Lib Dem led administration is putting in a little extra funding from the Economic Development budget in order to have this new facility up and running.
The first session will be a workshop, on setting up your business model, to be held on 26th January 2012.
