As most residents are aware, Scotia Gas Networks have been having problems with leaks from their gas main in Ferry Road
near the junction with Inverleith Row.
They managed to do a relatively fast repair job over the last weekend of October, which helped keep down disruption and
meant that the full-time traffic lights were back on by the Monday morning.
Unfortunately they will probably have to completely replace the pipe here, and the disruption is likely to be on a similar scale to their last major project near Granton Road. It will be advertised as much as possible beforehand.
