In 2012 Queen Elizabeth will celebrate 60 years on the throne. In recognition of this very significant anniversary Fields in Trust have requested the Council’s assistance in commemorating the anniversary by dedicating public open spaces. Fields In Trust (FIT) has a Royal Charter that requires it to protect and preserve parks and recreational space.
